DESCRIPTION:Rotary Club of Castro Valley's May 13 Chili-Cookoff Postponed          \n\n\nPresident of the Rotary Club of Castro Valley\, Dwight Perry\, announced that postponing the May 13 Chili-cookoff "was a difficult decision to make as all of us working on the event were excited to resume 'normality.'  Unfortunately\, the postponement is necessary due to unforeseen circumstances."\n\n\n\nCastro Valley Rotary is so thankful for all the entries\, volunteers\, organizations\, and government entities who worked together on this community event and looks forward to its return in the future.  Rotary encourages everyone to attend the Rowell Ranch Rodeo Parade on Saturday morning\, May 14 beginning at 10:00 A.M. on Castro Valley Boulevard to celebrate the theme "Back in the Saddle Again!"\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCome and join us at the Rowell Ranch Rodeo for\n\n"Castro Valley Chili Cook-Off"\n\nHosted by\n\nRotary Club of Castro Valley!\n\n \n\nCome compete and participate by Cooking your favorite Chili\n\n or\n\nCome and eat all types of Chili. \n\nFood\, Beer\, Wine & Music.\n\nThis is a Safe outdoor family event with kid activities...\n\nHow It Works\n\nWe are very excited to provide objective judging by using the double-blind style of judging that we introduced many years ago. Chili entries are collected from teams in unidentified containers\, labeled randomly with letters\, and taken to the judging area. Sealed envelopes contain the team ID without names attached.\n\nThe Castro Valley Chili Cook-Off will use two rounds of judging to ensure accurate results.\n\nSeparately\, by popular demand\, we continue to also award the People's Choice award to the team that collects the most tasting tickets.\n\nContestant Information\n\nIf you haven't entered the contest in years\, this is the year for you to return!\n\nCome win bragging rights "Best Chili for 2022" and these cash prizes:\n\nBest Chili\n\n1st Place: $500\n\n2nd Place: $200\n\n3rd Place: $100\n\nBest Booth Decoration: $100
