Description
In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, an empowering two-day cultural gathering, "Asian & Allies - America 250: The American Moment," will take place starting Saturday, May 30, 2026, at OAK - Informal Spaces in downtown Oakland.
Organized by All About The Bay Inc. in a diverse collaboration with BeAwaken, the SF Filipino American Chamber of Commerce, Informal Spaces, DOI250AA, and America250, this event centers on reclaiming what it means to belong, to be seen, and to honor the unique contributions of the Asian American community.
Rather than focusing on assimilation, the event’s core mission is to co-create what America is becoming. The weekend is designed to be a space where stories replace stereotypes, expression replaces silence, and connection replaces division.
"It's a turning point for how we see ourselves and each other," organizers shared in their event manifesto. "Breaking Barriers. Building America, Together."
