Castro Valley Adult and Career Education is organizing a film screening of Intelligent Lives on Sunday, September 24th, in Castro Valley in partnership with the Castro Valley Community Alliance. The film highlights the lives of three people with intellectual disabilities who challenge misconceptions about what they are capable of achieving. Academy Award-winning actor and narrator Chris Cooper contextualizes the lives of these central characters through the emotional personal story of his son Jesse. After the film we'll have a panel discussion with people with intellectual disabilities and advocates within the community.
