Suicide Prevention Training
Redwood Christian Schools is inviting school parents and the entire community to join us for another Parent Education Talk regarding Suicide Prevention at Redwood Chapel Community Church, 19300 Redwood Road in Castro Valley.
Dr. Al Hearne, Superintendent of Redwood Christian Schools, states “Suicide is preventable if we know what to look for and know how to respond. RCS has invited Valerie Strom, an MFT (Marriage Family Therapist) from Trinity Counseling in San Leandro, to help educate all of us regarding the warning signs of suicide, prevention strategies, and coping skills. She will also help to answer your questions.”
Asked who should come to this Parent Education Talk, Dr. Hearne responded “Let me make that answer simple: If you have a child or know a child, you need to be there. The information shared at this event may just save your child’s life or the life of a child you know. Please clear your calendar, reschedule events, and join us!
