I’m a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) and owner of the Dental Hygiene Practice of Jan Brooks, RDHAP, serving patients across the Bay Area. I provide accessible, patient-focused care for underserved, including seniors, medically compromised patients and those with special needs.
I established/managed the dental clinic at Davis Street Primary Care for 13+ years and have lectured on geriatric oral care and caries-arresting therapies. My private practice offers mobile and in-home dental hygiene services for patients with barriers to traditional care. I have also served as staff RDHAP at On Lok Senior Services and adjunct faculty at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, University of the Pacific.
Active in professional organizations, I served on the Alameda County Oral Health Commission and was nationally recognized as the 2010 Crest Dental Hygienist of the Year.
