If you've met me in person, you know I am passionate about a few things. My family, children, books (especially Usborne and Kane Miller books), and literacy are at the top of my list.

Through my volunteer work over the years I have seen the difference being literate can make in a person's life. I remember well taking a 12 year old out for a "sit-down" dinner and her inability to order anything because there were no pictures and she had no knowledge of the words on the menu. If I had not already realized how important it is to be able to read, then Paula fueled my fire!!
